Can anyone reccomend me a good route to the Redhook Brewery in Woodinville?

I live in the Northgate area. Im guessing Burke Gilman to a certain point, but don't know where to go from there.

The BG Trail will take you right to the brewery. From where you go through the tunnel in Bothell and it becomes the Sammamish River Trail, it's about another 5 miles. You can see Redhook from the trail.

You need to off the trail when you see the brewery to cross the river. When you see the brewery on your right the exit of the trail is on your left.

The BG ends just after the Wayne Golf Course. Go left as you come out of the tunnel and you are now on the Sammamish River Trail. Follow that through Woodinville (Wilmot Park is just past the railroad trestle, & has restrooms) and along the river until you smell the hops and malt. Go left at the overpass with the giant dragon flies, onto the road and go right. You're there.

I have to disagree...the brewery isn't that obvious, or wasn't to me the first time I rode bike to get there. Try this thread for more information:

Really? thought that the Burke Gilman ended at Tracy Owen Station/Log Boom Park.

Edit: It appears that the city of Seattle considers that the Burke Gilman ends at Logboom Park; see http://www.seattle.gov/transportation/burkegilmantrailmaps.htm and King County has it ending at Blythe Park in Bothell, see http://www.metrokc.gov/parks/trails/burkegilman.html

I live just up the hill from the wineries and ride the Sammamish Trail all the time, but I've never smelled hops and malt.

If the brewery isn't obvious from the trail it's because the Willows Lodge is between it and the trail. However, since the trail goes by a hotel, brewery, and two wineries all together, it's kind of hard to miss.

When you can smell the brewery (just past the lumberyards, south of Wilmot Gateway Park) just look to your right. Across the river, behind the "corporate retreat" style obstacle course you should see the mountain of empty kegs outside the filling line.

If you can't figure out from there how to exit the trail and cross the bridge to the brewery, then you can always just hold your bike over your head and walk across the Sammamish. It's really not that deep. :D

I vote for King County since the trail is under their jurisdiction.

You could go wading. Or, ask someone. I did, and that person was headed on bike as well, so I just followed him.

I'll be there tomorrow at 1pm. My company has our quarterly "townhall" meeting at Redhook tomorrow. Of course, they only decide to move the meeting back there after I quit drinking. :mad:
