So I walked down to Cycle Therapy in Kent this weekend to check out their selection. After talking with Steve and checking out a few bikes, I came home with a new Diamondback Response Sport. I absolutely love this bike! I had previously just had a cheap department store bike and decided I wanted to get more serious about cycling, so decided an upgrade was in order, but this bike has made cycling more exciting for me than I expected. :D

My primary purpose is commuting and this bike takes the hill home nicely. Don't think I've enjoyed riding as much as I do now. So on that note, just thought I'd toss some props out for Steve and the gang down at Cycle Therapy.

I bought 2 bikes from that shop back when it was "Mountain Bike Outfitters". They still honor the original life time service agreements made back when Gary ran the place, so I pop in there on occasion.

I've been commuting for a few years, and have broken every part imaginable. I think I annoy many wrenches in local shops as I ask tons of technical questions. (I'm a software engineer, so it's my nature I guess).

Just make sure your stem is on tight after you get it serviced. That's probably my biggest pet peave - when they loosen the stem to spin it around for easier storage, and don't torque it down properly before sending you home.

I've gone in there several times, and haven't bought a bike (hey, 12 is enough...), but I have always been very happy with their attention to customers. Women coming into the shop need not fear that they will be treated casually--they are there to help, no matter what sex, size, or shape you may be!

I checked out the store on Wednesday. Very helpful, friendly guys. I picked up a superflash blinky which happen to be a few dollars less than the price at REI.

They do group road rides on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 6:30pm starting at the shop. I wanted to ask Steve for more information, but everyone was suddenly busy with customers. Has anyone been on their group ride?
