Just want to know if its possible to break a Formula Hub or any type from skidding to much?

No, skidding will not break your hub; nor should it break any other part of your wheel except your tire. Brake pads are cheaper and last longer.
edit: to address posts below...yes it could break the hub. Anything could happen, but skidding is probably less likely to damage a non-defective properly installed hub than other types of abusive riding (jumping, wall-riding, etc).

Not unless you did something wrong.
But yeah, as mihlbach said, pads are cheaper, last longer, and stop better.
