I just suffered whats called a classic PIP fracture, sprain. Broken bone on the top, torn ligaments on the bottom, hyper-extension of the finger.

Contrary to typical diagnostics of placing a cast, splint; the doctor recommended immediate hand movement besides been on a premature healing stage, and constant pain. Doctor mentioned one of the main problems with this type of fracture is lack of mobility.

At the same token another doctor mentions to place a splint and prevent any movement for at least 3 weeks.

> I will start hand therapy today, it has been healing for a week and a half so far.

Any suggestions, advice, healthy tips to help recover faster or at least recover full/partial mobility.

It sucks badly, I can barely ride the bike, almost no braking with my left and got to take it easy downhill.

The only thing I can think of is, if there's a good Chinese herbalist near you, using Dit Da Jow

Edit: I just realized that the wiki page doesn't specify that DDJ is for external use only. DO NOT DRINK. (In case the DDJ you find does not come with instructions)

Its 09 of May, so far the hand is healing very quickly. Doctor recommended no splint to have maximum mobility at all times.

I am recovering strength but the ligaments are sore, so happy as I can ride the bike 30 to 40 miles no problem, beyond that and it get swollen very bad.
