creating an avatar

How does one go about creating his own avatar rather than selecting one from the avatar list?

Do you have an image you would like to use as an avatar? The only trick is getting it to the correct file size and format.

You may also want to search your favorite search engine for "avatar" or "custom avatar". I am sure you can find hundreds to use.

My uncertainty was not in creating the picture but in
implementing it on the bikeforum. Now that I look back at
the instructions, I believe it's clear.

where can i get some avatars from? like on the net? and how do i downsize them please? thanks
