Introductions - new to forums

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.
Hello folks,
I maybe don't really belong in this forum, as I'm not an intense rider and I have a pretty old road bike, but I figure it should be about the love of the sport. Right?
I started riding last summer, and have been really anxious to get going again. (It's still pretty cold around here.)
I really am just learning about bikes and all the different components. In due time, I'm sure I'll want to upgrade my bike, but for now I'm content with my old Nishiki.

Nishiki? I almost bought a Nishiki in 1985 when I got my first bike as an adult.
We see a lot of older Nishikis in the shop I work at. Great bike.

I beat you EH. :p ;)

Definitely sounds like you fit in here. :)
Got any pictures of your Nishiki?

Yes you did Ron, fair and square, too!
So did Msincredible :D .
Nets, don't worry about that Nishiki being an older bike. I have uh...five different Nishiki models, and love them all. Just take some photos and head over to Classic & Vintage with them! The great thing about cycling is it can be as hard or as easy as you like.
Welcome to BF!

I've posted a couple pictures of the Nishiki in the Classic/Vintage rides.
I just joined, me and my new Trek 2.3 bike, my first road bike in many years. I'm really glad to be back on a speedy bike for the first time in 20 years.
