Hi guys,
just thought I'd post a pic of my bike I've had since new in 1983; still ride it today and enjoy every minute of it. You don't see many Paganini' s out there (haven't seen ANY over the past 20 years except alongside my frame in Harry Hall bike shop when I spotted this frame)
Anyway, if anyone is interested in more details, just let me know. Or maybe has an early Paganini themselves....
Cheers and thanks for looking.

Pretty bike!
I've heard of the marque but am unsure if I've seen one "in the flesh" or not.
Stunning! Thanks for sharing. I'll bet its ride is every bit as good as its appearance.

Thanks folks for the compliments. Just a few details for those interested:
Columbus SL full chrome frame (the red main tubes are lacquered). Virtually every part of the frame has the Paganini "P" engraved on it, including a cut-out in the bottom-bracket (this also carries a engraved signature). The rear seat stays are tapered at each end and have been flattened to give a sleek rear profile.
Originally, I had built it up with Dura-Ace AX kit. If you remember, it had the centre-pull type brakes and the over-size pedal axles. I always intended to kit out with Campy Record, but couldn't really afford it on my student grant ! My brother donated his Campy Chorus Mk1 kit, which you can now see in the photo; the only change recently has been the addition of Look pedals.
I still like the way the bike rides and feels comfortable even with 140psi in the tyres! I would like to get some indexed gears with a wider range (7 speed with a max 21 is not enough for my ageing legs anymore).
Anyway, thanks again for looking

Beautiful bike. Am also proud owner of a 78 racer I assembled myself on a budget, and only changed I have done is also clipless Look pedals. Looks like you have taken better care of yours than mine.
One suggestion about gears, why adding more ? Maybe just change the sproket sizes. I find that after all these years, I still use mostly the three to four main gears (42x17, 18, 19 and switch occasianally to the larger 50 ring and of course need to go over 20 on hills) and am also thinking of replacing the larger ones from 20, 22 to 22, 24.
