Hello all,
I ride with my club often, and a lot of the times the routes are new to me. There is always a cue sheet, but I don't have any handy place to keep it. Some people clip it to a cable, but mine are all under the bar tape...Campy.
I saw someone today who had something called a "bar map"...it was a clear plastic pouch that had 2 velcro strips to wrap around the bar, and the clear pouch "sat" on the headset...nice set up, but unfortunately he didn't remember where he got it.
Any help?
Thanks

:D
Ziploc bag and scotch tape?
I usually fold the cue sheet up, put it in a plastic sandwich bag, and shove it in a pocket of my jersey. Or you could just stick close to the ride leader.

I like the barmap. I got my second one when I was in france during TDF2003. The tour group Velo-sport-vacations supplied it.
I put it on my bar laying over my stem when I don't got the aero-bars mounted. Sometimes it hits my knees when I'm climbing out of the saddle.
When I was doing my long rides this year (130-165-185 miles) and I needed a map I strapped it to the aerobars and let it sit on top of them. Made it nice to read the current map-sheet while I was on the aerobars.
It is also a bit easier to use than the ziplock bag trick (use to do that). The velcro loops hold the barmap secure... The barmap is velcroed closed at the other end and thus if you have a multi-page queue sheet you can open the barmap and tear out or flip over the sheets while you are riding.

On dry days I fold it up and put it in a clip I've mounted on the handlebar. I take one of the clips with the plastic loop that are used for Camelbak tubes, and zip tie it to the handlebar. I also have a small handlebar bag from REI that has a top that flips over with a clear plastic map case under it.
