I have a carbon fork made by Wound-Up with a 43mm rake with CANTI posts on my 700 roadbike. I had Dean do the custom ti frame and love it. Its gemoetry is a true roadbike, just with extra clearence all-around for 34c tires 'cause there is a lot of crappy dirt roads up here in Maine.

I am having problems with the fork. Wound-Up mounted the canti posts just 1 or 2 mm too low, so the Paul canti brakes (and all others I've tried) hit the rim just a bit too low. the issu isn't too bad when I use 20mm wide Open Pro rims, but gets worse when I ride my 'race' wheels- American Classic 420 rims that are only 19mm wide.

I've looked high and low and can't find any other 700 canti fork in a 43mm rake, and am afraid of shelling out the $ to try a 45mm rake. Will I REALLY notice the difference in the rake of a 45mm vs 43mm?

These brakes might have the adjustability that you need:

See them at www.rodcycle.com (http://www.rodcycle.com). Click on the "Tandem Brakes" link on the left.

You are very unlikely to notice a 2mm change in rake, and even if you do, you will adapt to it within the first ten minutes of riding.

Fork length differences are also something to consider. Forks vary from 265mm (wound up) to 274mm for a Ozuo Pro (regular road forks) - which raises the front end, or lowers it, as the case may be, which changes the head angle by about 1/2 degree for each cm of fork length difference. http://www.sheldonbrown.com/rinard/forklengths.htm
