Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

So today is my first time commuting on consecutive days. I'll be interested to see how my legs respond this evening. If it goes well, I'm going to do it again tomorrow for my 1/2 day at work. I love a ride in the moring it feels so good!

This morning's stats:

17.4 miles (added extra 1/2 mile to loop around a train),
20 mph
51 minutes
45 degrees at home 50 at work when I got there

I took a different way home last night that dropped 2.8 miles from the ride but increased the difficulty of climbing but over 5-7 miles of the ride instead of even for the whole ride. I'll take that route again as it was roughly 30 minutes faster.

Congrats. How long you been at it?

that's a pretty good pace there. might want to try a little slower pace on your next ride if you feel sore. the current training research suggests that it's necessary to slow down sometimes to reach peak fitness...

You'll be fine. And it gets even easier from there. What is really hard is if you quite for a week or two due to circumstances and then try to dive back in at your previous speed that you built up to. THEN your legs groan at you for the rest of the day until it's time to ride home.
