Kinda tossin around the idea of going over the hill and riding Silverado Trail Sunday ... have always wanted to do it everytime I drive it...Anyone interested? Would be a mellow ride... no insane tempo, no pace lines or anything like that. Just a good friendly ride... maybe 15 - 18 mph average (maybe more, maybe less... ;) )... Let me know

Not sure where the Silverado Trail is. Is that up your way?

I *think* it's in NAPA and goes along the wineries.

Yes, it's in Napa. My grandparents live on Silverado Trail. There are nicer rides in that area, however.

You could call it the winery tour ride. Silverado Trail is nice, little far if you live in the south bay though

Good luck Shifter, i have been trying to entice some of these folks up this way for a while and no one wants to come "that far" for a ride. I would join you but I work weekends. Go up the trail hang a right on Sage Canyon and take that North through Pope Valley to Ink Grade and you will have a real nice ride. I would start in Rutherford or St. Helena if I was you for an enjoyable loop.
have fun!

I think it's only "that far" or "too far" for a weekday when you're available to ride.
Wine Country Century is coming up so I'll be up that way soon :)

The Silverado Trail is an easy 60-mile ride. I like the wide shoulders, but I always question my sanity riding roads where there are a lot of wine "tasters" hopping from winery to winery in their cars...
