My name is Ryan and I'm a cyclist.

I live near Belen, NM USA and about 20 years ago I rode a lot (~250 - 350 miles/week in the summer). Then I stopped, life catches up and you reprioritize things (sometimes wrongly). Last year I built a mountain bike, as I live at the foothills of a local mountain range and a little time in the saddle. This year I have decided it's time to start and rack up the road miles in addition to continuing the mountain biking.

I've been lurking here for a couple of weeks now and decided it was time to introduce myself.

Mountain Bike: Marin Frame, Rock Shox front fork, FSA cranks (Shimano completes the drivetrain), Avid brakes.

Road Bike: ~1990 Raleigh Technium Pro (Soon to be upgraded).

Welcome to the forums.

Are you going to keep the Technium? I lusted after that bike back in the day. Ended up buying a Trek 1000, but still remember eyeing the Technium.

Thanks, I'm glad to be here.

At the moment, yes I intend to keep her. Currently, I think I will build a TT bike and maybe upgrade the drivetrain on the Technium. I really like the way it rides, so I may just end taking her apart and cleaning everything out. I've only put trainer/roller miles on her so far this year.

Thanks East Hill, for the welcome.

I've been lurking in Bicycle Mechanics, Road Cycling and General Cycling. I've made a couple of visits to the Training and Nutrition forum as well as the Triathlon and the Southwest pages.

I'm glad to see that you found the regional forums! There are some older members here who don't realise that they exist  !
