Yes, congratulations! I've been training for Ironman CDA, which would be my first Ironman. Missed three weeks due to an illness, and now I'm wondering if it's realistic. I'll start again this weekend, and see how it goes.

It helped to read about another first-timers experience. Very inspiring to see how you survived heat and wind in the same day AND that blister! Thanks for such a detailed report.

I missed two full weeks in January due to illness and some insane travel. You have a ton of time before Canada. Finishing an IM really comes down to two things...1) Stubborness, 2) Proper nutrition on Race Day.

I can't wait to read YOUR race report!

Congratulations CJ! From couch potato to Ironman in a span of about 4 years is beyond awesome. It looks like your blister has a blister - it's a duplex!

Your race report was a great read. Sounds like your wife (and doggy) are very supportive - an absolute necessity for anyone who wants to take on this kind of challenge. I'm glad all your efforts led to a successful conclusion.

I definitely got the chills during the part where you were finishing. Awesome. I hope to do this some day. Thanks for the inspiration.
