Fixing a customer's Monument Cycles MTB...especially after finding out the derailleur hanger I fixed probably wouldn't be available in the future.
I had a 20mph tailwind on my way to work. Then I had a good day at work. ' not busy at all. :)
Tell us about your happy moment of the day. :)

Just sent out "thank you" notes to my MS150 donors and, in the process, realized that I've now logged over 1,000 miles on that one ride. Kinda nice, since it's a family cause.

A warm hug from a work friend. It felt doubly good because we were both so frazzled.
I just got an unexpected gift. Equivalent of US$250! :)

i worked outisde for 7+ hours in 15+ degree weather for the first time since last september... couldnt be happier
Still smiling from the 1st date with a guy last night, and still smiling from my way to fast commute in this morning - it's gorgeous outside!
Wade and I have worked on hitting baseballs since he was about 3. He loves to bat.
It was very gratifying this week at practice to sit back and watch the coach compliment his swing and have the other boys watch Wade bat, so they could see how to step into the ball, rotate the hips, etc.
This is first year of coach pitch baseball, all first graders from his school on the team.

14th Wedding anniversary today for me and Mr. East Hill :) .
Can't say enough good things about that  ....

Congrats East Hill. One third of the way to 50!!!!!
I went to check the dog's food and water bowls prior to putting her in the crate for the day. (BTW, we have a doggie door, the crate is in front of it, so she can get out of her crate and into the backyard at will.) Found them to be full.
Our boys, ages 6 and 3, had already filled them! They are starting to take more ownership of Sparky everyday, which is it should be.
On a side note, I called Sparky into the room when waking up the six year old. She licked him awake and then the two of them snuggled up and cuddled for a few minutes. Again, this is how it should be.
Also, last night before bed, I got to watch the three year old and the dog waddle/trot into the kitchen to get dog bones. The three year old loves to give Sparky treats, and ask her to sit, lay down etc. Again, this is how it should be.
It has taken two years, but the dog and the boys are really bonding. She looks at me as the alpha still, but they are forming really great bonds, something I was not sure was going to happen at first.

It will happen when I leave work today for my first cyclocommute home this year.
Yes I know it's mid April, but I live in New Hampshire, moved here from Texas, and it has too darn cold!!
(P.S., the ride into work as 34F, but going home will be about 75F)

I went to the brewpub last night with my Dad to celebrate his 61st birthday. Had a nice dinner (and a few mugs) with my Mom and wife. His gift was a really cool brass bell for his Rivendell that tones for a very long time.
Now I'm off to work and will have to work through the weekend swapping the store over from Winter to Summer stock.

The C & V forum has gotten to see photos of the snow bank alongside Pastor Bob's driveway. Let's just say that the amount of snow he has piled up still is AWESOME.

Biked w/ my 6 yr old to his school w/ big bowl of taboule (like a gallon) tied to the top of my panniers.
Found out I qualified and was for a signature student loan (although until the check is cashed and cleared, I don't believe it), so I can finish out the last 11 semester hours I need. Ironically, in the fall, I have to take one course just to be considered at half time status, so need to find some course for that I can take pass-fail.

I found out yesterday that I may have encouraged someone to start bike commuting just by doing so myself. That's pretty neat, I think.

jsahrr's happy moment was going more than five posts before someone pointed out to him that 14 x 3 = 42.
Mine will soon be having the Imperial delivered. Up to now, the best part has been not breaking the camera when I got my driver's license renewed. :o

I hate to correct people's math...since I am so bad at it. Besides, his math brings me that much closer to that 50th Anniversary :) .

did anyone notice that my math made the asnwer 42? just saying.
42 is the pie/quail/bass/beef jerky anniversary.
Getting a call in the middle of the day from that special someone. Yeah, I'm getting all mushy.
Damn, I noticed the 42 thing too, but I figured that was just jsharr being the usual weirdo he is. :D

We just had a Line Of Site wireless bridge installed at our house that is bouncing off the local building supply companies tower and heading about 20 miles away. And amazingly enough, I plugged the portable into it - and it worked! :D
This was the last thing preventing us to close the office down below (where we are currently living) - and moving into our new house. (okay, they have to finish the bathroom - but that is nearly complete... - oh, the doors, and cabinets - but that is much time given 6 full-time construction people with 8 full-time wood workers)
Anyway, very soon, we are up above in our new home in the middle of 70 acres of reforestation... we are getting excited I can tell you. :)

Finished prepping the garden today (very late, I know) and just sat back and looked at the 20'x12' plot, feeling satisfied.
Thought about how fun it is to watch plants grow.
Oh, hell, to watch food grow.
First addition: Black Beauty Eggplants.
