I still mostly lurk around here, but I have learned a great deal, so thanks to all for the knowledge.
After a slow start to the year maybe riding once a week in January, February and March I have made a great transition into April. For April I have ridden 11 time, 88 miles and averaged 14mph. It's pretty flat here in Dallas but I find myself wanting to some hills to ride. But the biggest change came on yesterdays ride. I took my normal route, but extended it to 40:00 minutes (30 usually) mileage went from 7.5 to 10 for a 15mph total. I now track my cadence as well and it stayed the same at 69. Bottom line I felt stonger and it showed. In addition while I have not lost any weight yet (started at 286) my clothes are fitting better, so improvement is occuring and ridden is the most enjoyable exercise that I have found.
