Just got home from Bike the Blossoms -- a great mix of cycling, Slow Food and the Vancouver Cherry Blossom Festival.

Apparently they had more than 1500 people pre-register, and there were certainly lots of cyclists out today. With snow(!) last night, and the skies looking a bit iffy this morning, I wasn't sure how well it would work out. The weather ended up being perfect...somehow the 60 per cent chance of rain I saw this morning turned into a beautiful, cool, sunny day -- a great day to be on the bike, enjoying the city and some good slow food.

Assuming this turns into an annual event (which it should), I'd highly recommend it next year.

Blossoms? As in flowers? Outside? Wow, how is that possible? Trees have leaves? I remember leaves, as a faint memory from last summer.
