I'm looking to buy a fillmore as my first fixed-gear bike. I was just wondering if anyone who's bought one can give me their two cents about them. What year was it? What was good and bad about it? What needed to be replaced (if anything)? Etc. Thanks guys

I bought mine a few years ago when they first came out. Good starter bike at the time and as I worn a few things out I upgraded the components. The bike has evolved since then. I would check prices and compare.

Looks like a nice bike to me. Good quality steal, slightly longer up top, and I think I saw enough mounts to put on fenders as well as a rack.

Well mine is my favorite bike i've ever owned. Its a 2006 Fillmore. Check my signature, its all black. It comes stock with carbon forks. mine is platnum ox steel and is super light. I don't know if the 2008 is the same.

Wow, I was looking at the '06 and '07 models and to be honest, I like the black better than the gray on the '08 model. The only problem is getting one of the older models at a place near me.

I had an '05 and liked it a great deal. The stock drivetrain was kinda meh, but the frame was a real underappreciated gem. Nice riding bikes indeed.

you should search for more info on this topic, but werent the 05s and 06s made from OX platinum and the later models just regular cro-mo?

So I discovered from a few calls to dealers in my area that Lemond is being discontinued... Chances are if I can't even find an '08 model Fillmore I won't be finding an '06 model..
