hello all, not new to this site but new to this area.
my name is ben and my family and i just returned to the united states after 4 glorious years in Okinawa and i just recently separated from the air force after 7 1/2 years of service. We have settled in my hometown of Canton Ohio.
i just recently got my bike back and yesterday went on my first official ride. altho it was only 15 miles long it introduced my to the towpath trail system and that definitely hs me intrigued. my wife and i have decided to do the whole thing all the way down to Cincinnati. i read somewhere that someone has just finished doing it but i couldnt find much out. basically all i need is some good maps and if anyone has ideas on where to camp.
i guess the hardest part is going to be thru the northern spot. not to many campsites i imagine. i think we are only going to do about 30-40 miles a day on account of our 2 year old who will be with us.
anyway hope to see some of yall out there
Ben
