Mountain Biking - Specialized Rockhopper Disc 29

I am thinking about picking up the Specialized Rockhopper in Orange with the bomber motif next week. Does anyone have anything good or bad to say about it before I do? I am actually going to sell a few used mountain bikes to pick it up.

I like the 29er tire size a lot. I actually just picked up that orange frame on eBay, to replace a different 29er frame that I just recently bent in a freak cleaning accident.

What the hell happened?

Oh, well, I had the frame up on one of those Ultimate stands in my driveway. Picture the bottom-bracket at about chest-level. Had all the parts off the frame. Had the wheels off too. Wind blew the whole thing over while I was in the house. Frame took the hit on the right, rear dropout. The dropouts are now about 7-8mm too close together. Furthermore, the rear triangle is out of alignment with the rest of the bike. It's hard to believe that one fall could do that much damage. It's possible that the alignment problem is from a crash I took last summer. But the dropout problem is all down to the wind blowing the bike + stand over in my driveway.

I have the dealer looking at the frame. He thinks he has a shot at bending it back. But aluminum and bending don't mix too well.
