Considering most of us are world class racers here, we appreciate your suggestion and will inform our team managers.

no need to carry cement if you are prepared. do you carry a spare tube with you?
apparantly you can ride on a flatted tubular if it comes to it huh?

no need to carry cement if you are a sponsored pro rider with 50 team cars with spare bikes behind you

Fixed.

he also carries a tent to post up for the ungodly ammount of time it takes for a tubular to dry once it's glued. If you ever see a tent on the sidewalk, pop in for a cup of tea. He's got a little stove set up in there.

oh i know it's done and over. it just brought back memories and a little solid evidence that that it can be done. but really, anyone that has dealt with tubs knows you can do it, just like they know you don't have to apply glue to a spare tire on the side of the road.

cool video none the less.

Thanks for the link Piwonka! If the flat happened on the front tire-that would have be some feat of riding.

You can definitely ruin a rim by riding on a flat tubular. I've seen it happen myself. You can also ride on a flat clincher tire, as I've seen that as well.

So what is this thread about? Are you saying we all need to use tubulars to be considered serious riders? Really? If you had any maturity you'd see that there is no right or wrong option, yes tubulars have performance advantages (cornering, shock absorption etc) but clinchers can be a very practical option for the street.

try what? u know there are pro's that ride clinchers now.... as the weight difference between clincher and tubular is getting more and more nominal...

His point was that it's much easier to ride like that on a flat tubular than it would be on a flat clincher.
