Foo - Computer question

I don't know if I can explain this, but I'll try. When I'm on my home page or browser and I hit the maximize button, the page will get so big I cant see the title bar. So what I have to do is minimize it and stretch it out. to fill the screen. I when to properties on the desk top and try to make adjustments their, that made the icons are to big or the print. I also tried display it the control panel and that didn't work. I restored the machine with the disk for a complete formate and it came back the same way. I tried everything that I could think of and nothing seems to work. I know it's not in Firefox or IE because it happens in both browsers. I'm wondering if Microsoft has a problem. Or maybe HP, but I called them up and the first thing they want is your charge card. I told them, just give me a simple yes or no, if you have a problem with your software or not and they said they couldn't do that. Anyhow I'm willing to try anything that I haven't tried. I really don't want to restore the computer again. I've done it twice in the last 3 days. Thanks for any help at all.

Perhaps your monitor is adjusted wrong. Do you have a CRT monitor? You can adjust the size of the picture on the screen, and it's possible that it's adjusted to be too large. If that's the case, adjust the size of the picture down until there's a small black border around it, and then enlarge it to just fill the screen.

Thanks for the reply and my though was right about HP. I just took 17 down loads and it's fixed. You would think that they could have told me something, but I'm happy it's done, thanks again.
