Singlespeed & Fixed Gear - Help with Hubs and Rims

Im about to build a bike and i was wondering what rims and hubs i should get.

First off my weight is 150-160
All my riding is in the pot holed city of toronto. so a bumpy cracked road is normal.
My budget for a wheelset is $200-300
I'm looking for 700c

I've done some looking and i've herd that
deep Vs are to heavy and overkill. aeroheads are good rims, but will they stand up to the abuse from bad roads?
I've also herd mavic CPX22 are good.

What would be best for me?

Hub im looking for a flip flop one side fixed one free.
I've looked at milwaukees but they seem to be exactly like formula hubs?

The cheaper the better, but i need it to hold up.

Oh please. Deep v's too heavy. You're not going to be riding at a level where it's going to matter. They are strong as ****, especially if they're handbuilt. If they're not just make sure they are retensioned and trued before you buy them.

How about some fusions. I got my set for $225 canadian shipped to near Toronto. Stronger than aeroheads, lighter than v's, but have the look of a deep section rim. So far I really like them.

aeroheads will stand up to damage...deep vs arent too heavy....
i say go for fusions
best of both worlds!

I figure if the aeroheads are strong enough for me then why add on weight?
whats the cheapest of the three? and by how much?
I'm not sure of pricing around Toronto.

I like my CXP22s. Granted, I'm not overly abusive with them.

theres been a lot of good talk about the alex da28s. (http://www.universalcycles.com/shopping/product_details.php?id=7275&category=1706) i've never used them though, since im perfectly happy with my velocity deep-vs. the alex ones are cheaper and i've heard they can take a beating. should be able to get a set of formulas / da28's for $200 or less.

Build some mavic open pros. 32h front, 36h rear They will be light, cheap, and strong.

EDIT- But calling deep vees too heavy is still wrong. They aren't too heavy, but the open pro is an old design so they are cheap now.

Not to say they are "too heavy," but deep-vs are noticeably heavy compared to non-deep rims. i tore the old rims off my surly hubs and put on deep-vs, and the first time i got on the bike i was very surprised at how much i could feel the extra weight when starting from a standstill. Now, i don't notice it.

Apparently (or so I have been told) the aeroheads are heavier than reported on the velocity site. The fusions are only a little heavier than the actual weight of the aerohead but apparently a bit stronger.

When I was looking for a new wheelset the OpenPros were concerned but I read some bad stuff about cracks and there were inconsistent reviews (although everyone on this subform seems to love them). Ultimately I decided against them due to price though.

If color is a concern only velocity will meet your needs (unless your thing is silver/maybe black).
