Well today I tried to ride with my stepson and my daughter. I flatted out the first mile, we had 11 to ride. the kids went ahead and road.they made the trip no problems. They loved it. Wish I could have made it. Next trip.
I know I should have had an extra tube or at least a patch kit. But I didn't. My bad.

Rick,
No worries my friend. These things happen and we wisen up from them. Next time I am sure you'll have your emergency kit with you and it won't be an issue. Of course some other issue will crop up and you'll deal with that the time after. It is a learning experience every time and we get better every time.
I had no problems with it last week. Had a great ride. This time my daughter was with us and it was only half the ride as last week.
I usually don't carry anything cause I don't ride far enouph that I can't get some help. As was the case this time. I was just looking so forward to this ride. My bad either way.
