I kept the rubber side down.
I finished.
I wasn't DFL.
And so begins my life as a CAT 4.
Lesson(s) learned:
4's can be just as squirrelly as 5's.
Being part of a well-represented (collegiate) team doesn't exempt you from item #1 above. (especially the guy who decided to start a turn from the outside and attack by exiting from the inside, thereby almost sweeping the front wheel out of several riders, including mine, as he cut across.)
A winter's worth of intervals can't overcome genetics.
Tis better to hang out with the 45+ crowd, and when I get shelled, convince myself it's making me stronger!
That is all.
