Introductions - ny-er, cyclist, "artist" and "activist"

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

Hey folks
just following protocol,
been riding recreationally since i was 5 years old, or younger. Cruising thru the boroughs for the last eight years.
Started the NYC version of the Ghost Bike Memorials with my art collective Visual Resistance in 2005, after approaching the scene where Liz Padilla was killed that summer.
I love bikes, am always interested in learning more about them, and have signed up because im looking for
some info about a Vitus 992 im building today, from parts off my old Cannondale R600. 90's aluminum road frames are in my price range and an enjoyable all around bike, for me, in NYC. I ride everywhere year round, and dream of car free streets, city-wide.
ke mas?
Im interested in obtaining a touring frame, on the cheap, and going on some trips in the near future, brasil or mexico maybe.
there's always something forgotten

Hi knifeknife, do you have a website for your artwork? I'd like to pay tribute to those cyclists, if you do.

Welcome to BF, and feel free to PM me with any questions :) !
