I'm about to purchase a Miami Sun EV3 electric assist trike. It's got a 36 volt hub motor in the front. I don't know what year it is, but I'm buying it from the original owner. The manual says the range is 15 miles without pedaling and the top speed is 9mph. It has new batteries and other than a little surface rust on the chrome it's in great shape.

is $200 a fair price?

It's geared very low. I was wondering if I change the gearing so I can actually pedal at top speed, is the 15 mile range realistic?

I eventually plan on using the parts to make an Ebike and sell the trike but I'm going to ride it as is for a while.

I should be picking it up wednesday so pics are sure to come.
