Yes, that Cervelo P2C 2006 54cm RED/WHITE ultra-specific frameset I need, someone has it for sale and it is the LAST one. But I won't be able to buy it for another 4 weeks or something.. it could easy be taken by then! They told me to buy it before it is gone.

I need ideas, people! I have no way of getting the money quicker except to sell except my Love, my Scott. I can't sell her. I have no TV or stereo to sell for extra cash. There must be a way!

loan, borrowing money from friends, bank loan, remortgage your house, ask for you deposit back and promise youll pay it back later, sell yourself, max out your visa card in cash and drop it on the dude, mug somebody/some people, rob a pawnshop, haggle?

im out for now. thats the majority of my quick moves for cash.

loans and such are out of the equation. so are credit cards. i have none. thinking. hmm. looking on craigslist. i love my scott, but it could be the key.... :(

Send him some cash, with a promissory note. Have him write you a note that says he will hold it for you till next month. Include on the note the serial number of the bike, condition that it is in and perhaps detailed photos.

He won't do it? He won't hold it if you send him something? It's not really like you are making monthly payments, you will pay it off next month. Tell him that if you don't pay him off by a certain date, you will forfeit the cash and the bike sale. What can he lose?

Unless you've seen for yourself that this is the last one, then every one they have is the "Last Available" or "Final Factory Stock".

I actually believe the 'last one' phrase just because I have looked for over a week now, sometimes 1-2 hours a day and cannot find it anywhere. Its not showing up on craigslist[s] and on ebay either. All other bike shops online are out of stock as well.

Try finding one to my specs and good luck. :P

Tell him that you regret not being able to come and pick the bike up, but you have a purchasing agent/shipper who will gladly deliver a cashier's check for $150 over the value of the bike, and to make up for the trouble of supplying a shipping box and going to the bank, he may keep the excess funds.

At least give him a call to let him know of your interest in doing so. Who is to say it could be sold by tonight to someone else. If you find an alternate way, then it will be even better than my idea right? Can't hurt to call him to see if he will even be willing to do it.

No. You are a 3rd party reading from a perspective that is not what this bike dealer and I see. I don't think you get it. If this was a popular frame that everyone has, his 'last one' mumbo jumbo wouldnt stand. I am not stupid, despite some of my rambling, idiotic night-time posts here. But like I said, try finding one of these. It is near impossible. [2006, red frame, 54cm.] Out of 10 emails sent to bike shops all across the US, a few in europe and even asia, this is the only one with the frameset in stock. It makes sense. Even if he has 30 of these, hes the only one or one of the only ones left with it.
