Cedar Rapids Iowa Tuesday Nights?

So there I was, going north on Loggerhead, uphill, against the wind, when a group of about 10 bikes rode past me going in the other direction (that would be south, downhill, with the wind).

Is there a regular group ride in the area I might be able to join? What kind of pace does it run?

Thats was the HBA (Hawkeye Bike Assoc.) Race Team Tuesday night group ride, there is also one on Thursday nights as well. The Tuesday night one starts at Green Square Park in downtown CR and the Thursday night one is at the Boyson Rd parking lot of the CVNT, start time is 5:30. The ride is open to both members and non-members like myself, last night was 41 miles at an average of just over 18, but from what the guys were saying when it gets to be a bigger group they will split off into 2 groups. Last night was the first time I went with them, and it was a blast so I will be going back every week for more.

Thanks for the info Greenfast. I can't make Thursday nights unless I tow my kids, but I might show up some Tuesday just to see if I can hang on.
