Road Cycling - Car Vs Bike

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.
Here is what a Cannondale CAAD 7 frame looks like after being hit by a car. Luckily my buddy wasnt injured to badly.

Good thing it was not carbon...might have been a dust pile.
Looks like the driver of the car's buying your buddy a new bike.
How hurt is "not too bad"? And what happened?
Did he get broadsided by the car?

Ouch... not nice!
Just hit by the car? Or run over? Details are always good...
Hope your buddy is ok and recovers from whatever injuries he has quickly.
It was an older guy that was heading towards him. The car started to turn into the road on my buddy's side and pretty well just plowed over him. He didn't even see him. It was at 4:30 in the afternoon. He did crack his helmet. I talked to him today and he is at work but not sure if he will be riding soon.

That will be, Car 1 - Bike 0
:)
Damn!
I got hit once but nothing quite as brutal as that...good news is the insurance co. can't say it's fixable.
Hope he's OK

Looks like most of the bits are salvagable though. Hope he's back on his (shiney new free) bike ASAP.
