Foo - Whats your bikes name?

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

Most of us do it, I dont think we all know why if we do.
If you've named your bike, what did you name it and why?
Is it a boy or girl? The tendency is girl round these parts, what do you think it should be?
Does your bike not have a name? Think its dumb?
Weigh in.
I called my bike Vina, I drank two bottles of fat b@stard wine when I built her, and her bar ends are corked because of it.

:D I'm still undecided what nomenclature to use for the two unbuilt frames i have in the closet... One is orange and the other is gold so i'm not sure if they'd be able to properly continue the trend.

Heh heh, we've got a bunch of anime-named bikes on here!
I was gonna name my bike Superman (it's a Kent Ultralite) but then it doesn't fly high, isn't faster than a speeding bullet, isn't bulletproof, etc...

I never can get myself to name stuff. I know it is popular, but I don't think of names when I look at my computer, bike, etc. Must be a mental weakness or lack of imagination on my part.

My commuter/distance bike (Surly X-Check) is named Sleipnir.
My fixed gear (PDG Series-5) is called Japanamount!, and yes, the exclamation point is part of the name.

Hybrid - "My bike"
Flat bar roadie - "My son's bike"
Obviously I'm not one for naming bicycles. I actually think that names shouldn't be attributed to bicycles. Instead, bicycles should be required to earn names, and I find it difficult to understand how they could possibly do that until they are so old that paint no longer adheres to them and they've developed unique characteristics which require even skilled riders to learn how to ride them :D
