In japan, BSM is sold at much lower price than UK and framekit is also available(with 20+ color options including glow-in-the-dark, cherry red, and so on). My mates are used to import framekit at around $1000 from japan to build custom BSMs, and this one is the best of them.

The owner of this bike is a bike collector and owns dozens of bikes including Alex Moulton New Series, Birdies, Bromptons, and so on.

Decorated with HED carbon wheelset, Stronglight pulsion crankset, DA components, Brooks saddle, Nitto bars and stem with Alex Moulton signature.

Loving the British Racing Green paint, stripes and little union flag. All we're missing is a Mini and Twiggy!
Sweet bike - you must have such fun with all your small-wheel friends.

That is one amazing looking bike! We don't see bikes like that here in the USA. The British racing green paint with the stripes and flag are really nice.

How well does the rear suspension work? I don't think I've seen a setup like that before.

Tell your mate he did a great job!

looks like the swingarm comes from the bb then theres a rubber block on the swingarm, under a bit of the frame.

do these crack there swing arm like 60s moultons do?

They're alumunium so that's a likely 'yes' over time on such a high-stress part...

They must have been problematic, because Moulton modified the rear end to a triangle design on the MK3, which followed the F-frame shown in the OP.

(shameless self-promotion :o)

Yes, they were problematic. My wife had a Mk1 and I had a Mk2. Her Mk1 rear suspension split underneath, and I gathered from the UK Moulton owners' club that it was relatively common. The Mk2 was much more robust, but the strengthened swing-arm was much heavier. The Mk3 was apparently lighter and stronger (but IMHO didn't look quite as good - of course, I would still own one if I could get my hands on one!)

There was also a problem with the front fork steerer tube snapping near the lower headset race, right where the splines start.
I still have 2 broken front teeth to show for that escapade circa 1967 ;-(

That is one beautiful bike! I highly doubt that there are any problems with the frame, as it is one over-engineered beast. The only problem with it is that it's a touch on the heavy side.
