I would like to know what my bike is worth prior to it being damaged. My bike is a 10 speed Nishiki Competition. Does any one have one or know the value? Has anyone bought one recently or can point me to someone who has one for sale? I would like to purchase a new frame and transfer my parts or fix this one. I will need my top tube replaced. The top tube looks to be damaged beyond repair and probably will need to be replaced. Does any know a frame repairer? What would it cost to repair?

From an insurance point of view the bike would be a write off due to the cost of frame repair. It only the top tube needs to be replaced... well I don't know way $100-200 and then $250-500 for paint? The frame itself while decent quality is worth say $100-150 maybe. There are no hard and fast guidelines and everyone will give you a different estimate. But to get a bike of similar quality by todays standard (extrapolating the fact that this was a good bike then) you'd be looking at close to $2000.

In the picture, it looks like the bottom and top tubes are bent. I assume the bike recieved a front end impact of some sort. The fork may be bent a little too. :( What size is that frame?

I recently bought this pristine, stock Nishiki Competition on Ebay for $150. Assuming your components are in good shape, you should just find a similar frame and transfer the components. Definitely not worth repairing that frame!

Don't forget to add shipping to Rabid Koala's estimate. Shipping prices are skyrocketing. I would add $80
