Hi Everyone,
I looked around and could not find anything about using a In-line Brake Levers with Disk Brakes. We ordered a new '08 Cannondale 2 with disk brakes. I would like the new style In-Line brake levers on a tandem. Is it possible?
Thanks in advance,
Dean

There's nothing special about the STI brake levers used on tandems with disc brakes. In some cases folks may have added either a Dimension Travel Agent or BPB (brake pull booster) to increase level pull for rear discs, but that all happens at the other end of the brake cable run. Therefore, I can't imagine why something like a set of Cane Creek's 'Cross' levers wouldn't work. My only issue with these types of brakes on a tandem is that you loose a lot of steering leverage and upper body bracing when using these types of levers on a somewhat more unwieldy bike like a tandem.
