Classic & Vintage - trying to ID

I found a thrift store bike that I think is a 1975 Raleigh. The catalogues from sheldon brown's website show almost all of the bikes with campy groups, unfortunately this one doesn't have any campy stuff other than a cable guide.
Since most of this stuff isn't original, what vintage are some of these parts?
I'm not sure of the quality of some of this stuff, I am thinking of refurbishing the bike. Here's what it has:
Suntour Vx hubs on wolber super champion rims, 36 spoke front and rear, both with QR
Brevette pedals- Is this raleigh brand? they also have S.G.D.G on them
Tange headset
Nervar sport crank
Rear derailleur says made in france on it and the decal has fallen off- any ideas?
The stem says GB or CB on it
The only part on it I can recognize is a Dura Ace front dereailleur.
The downtube shifters have an S on them and seem to have a faux leather look to them.
It also has 2 dents in the top tube, not seeming really bad to me. If it was a larger frame then I wouldprobably switch my SS stuff onto it, but it is way small.....
Most of the chrome is really great, not rusted or pitted that I can tell so far.
Any info would be helpful, I posted this in road bikes forum and got a little help, hopefully this is the right venue.
Actually looking at my component list, it looks like someone took all the italian parts off and put on japanese! Appreciate it!

We need pics of the frame (especially lugs) to tell what Raleigh this is, but preliminary guessing is Competition, which would NOT have had any "Italian" parts, more french parts. Only the Raleigh International and Professional were Campagnolo endowed at that time. As for this bike, a real mis-match of parts, I will guess the downtube shifters (simplex) are original. The front fork looks replaced, also (different color paint?). The parts that are on there, while not great shakes, are all "good parts", from what I can see, mostly in the mid-70's date period (except for the Dura-Ace FD?), and will have a certain following on ebay.

I apprectiate it. I was the most excited about this bike of the ones I got teh other day, but I am giving the other 2 away, and I need to get them together first. If I degunked the rear der it would have seen duopar on there.
I think I can fix this one up and let my friend's GF use it for this summer's tri season. shifted OK with ancient cables and chain.
Question: Sachs, the famous framebuilder, had something to do with Huret?

Do the simplex shifters have leather on the tips, or is it rubber/synth/poly....?

Yup, an early 70s Competition, I'd say, though I don't think those are the original wheels. Definitely a bike in need of some cleaning and polishing!

Looks like a mid-70s Competition frame with entirely different parts from original!

Took some more pics, I hope the wheels can be trued, not that bad, but that seems to be the most obvious problem.

Given that it has a replacement fork, check carefully for wrinkled paint under the downtube and top tube to make sure it wasn't in a front end collision at some point.
