My search for a 2500ish$ tri bike led me to these two. Does anyone ride one or have comments about them?
Thanks!

P2C. Everyone I know who has one loves it. I ride the P2 SL and it's great.

thanks, I found a 61 size P2C someone is selling pretty cheap. My road bike is a 62 (I'm 6'2"). I was told that I should ride a 57 Cervelo however, so I'm test riding one tonight at the LBS.

I'd look at the 58, mainly becuase they don't sell the P2C in a 57.

FWIW, I am 6'2" and I am right in the middle fit wise on a 58 Cervelo Dual and ride a 60 road bike with a 120 stem.

I vote for the Felt however, that is a hot looking bike.

I presume that you have read bikesport michigan's extensive review of these two bikes(plus two other 2,500 bikes)? If not, do so.

yes, I have read that, as well as several other articles giving the P2C good reviews. But I haven't been able to find much on the B12, so I was just trying to hear from anyone who had more info on it before I made my final decision.

I think it comes down to which color you like.

They are both top of the line, well made, and designed carbon TT frames with great components and decent but upgradeable wheels. One has won Kona the other frame has won Junior Worlds TT.

If you read the reviews on Slowtwitch everyone who has the Felt loves it and everyone who has the Cervelo loves it.

Yuu literally can't go wrong unless you like to ride very shallow because both of these are meant to ride fairly steep.

both are nice bikes. both have been given good reviews by different sources. i think the wheels that come with the B12 are a little better, but a lot of people swear by the cervelo name. i don't think you could go wrong with either one. just pick the one that fits best.

both are on my list. the b12 is at the top though, mainly because my road bike is a felt, haha.

Whichever one you "like" more. The differences, besides the wheels, are really negligible. There is no secret to either one. I've heard the Cervelo seatpost can have some slipping problem.

If I had $2500, I'd save up 200 dollars for a Trek TTX, I like the geometry on it better. But you are you, not me. Between your choices I'd go with the Felt, cause it's pretty.

which ever fits and feels better...period.

i tried both felt and cervelo tt/tri bikes when i was shopping. i ended up with the cervelo p2c because it was on sale! lol it has turned out great...fits great...wonderful machine that's still waiting for me to catch up to its capabilities...

Well I’ve tentatively decided on the Cervelo. But what are my next steps? They carry it in my LBS, but for almost $900 (plus tax) more than I can get it online. I tried to test ride one there, but they told me I’d need to schedule a professional fitting. I’d rather not waste their time having them fit me if I’m not going to buy from them.

that's a big price difference...are there any other bike shops near you that carry the p2c? a professional fit is SO SO SO important!!!!!!!!!! often times, people choose between the p2c and p3c (or between cervelo/orbea/specialized/felt) on fit alone because the fit is SO MUCH MORE IMPORTANT to your performance than the difference in the two bikes!

This is the only bike shop locally that carries Cervelo. After I buy one online I'm going to bring it to them anyways to have them set it up for me so I can ensure that the fit will be right.
