The quality of a 1994 621 would the same, if not better than the earlier 610's.

Quality was poor choice of words on my part.....both have excellent quality but,
Without looking at pictures ithe '94 will have more water bottle braze-ons, a chain hanger, pump peg and probably more eyelets for racks and fenders. I'm in no way saying an an older 6xx Miyata isnt a great bike because it is. The '94 will also have a cassette hub which, in my mind, is a must for a touring bike as they do not bend axles and it has indexed shifting with bar end levers!!!
