I'm a hard-core BMX builder, and I shop second-hand shops for great deals (e.g., a set of 80's Redline Flights for $1.50). So, I got a shed full of parts. One day, I noticed that any rims older than the 90's were welded! I told my dad and he was shocked to hear that rims are now pinned. He says that all rims used to be welded; so I don't mind all those rusty old rims in my shed. Plus, they hold up well, too!

New rims are too unless they are seemless?

Yeah, the old rims are welded to perfection. And the new ones cost well out of my price range. The old rims I'm talking about come on bikes I get for 1-10 bucks. $10 vs. $100, I'm sticking with the old.

Mind you that was a Odyssey Hazzard, not to be confussed with Hazzard Lite. That is why the seems on rims are now mostly on the inside ot the rim.

I don't understand what you mean. All I'm saying is that the old rims I have are welded to perfection, meaning that they were welded on the inside and outside and were buffed BEFORE the chrome was applied. Of course, they are singles, but they hold up nicely.
