I have the opportunity to pick up either a set of Sansin track hubs or Durac Ace 7600's, both in pretty decent condition and have 110mm rear spacing and slotted axles that I need. Which should I opt for?

Sansin, they made the legendary Suntour Superbe hubs, both are no longer available, and they're regarded as the best hubs ever. Plus they're rare as ****.

But honestly both are excellent choices, just make sure you properly maintain them.

Thats what I was thinking, plus I think they're pretty smooth lookin. Think I should replace the bearings?

Those double stepped hubs are bad news... :D

Seriously... I would love to score a set of these as Sansin made exemplary hubs.

what do you think they're worth?

Hard to tell with used and rare as **** parts but consider that a really decent set of track hubs will set you back a few bills and can get pretty costly if you want something like Phil's...

Here are some listings of similar but not identical hubs... what is the seller asking for these ?

buy:
either, whichever are cheaper or whichever feel smoother when you inspect them with your fingers.

I run a sansin track hub on my mtb sometimes.

It was worth the $20, I guess..

I think the sansins look really nice. But thats purely aesthetic, they both should spin like nobodys business as has been attested by several owners already.

I like my Superbe Pro more than my Dura Ace, for what it's worth. Both are VERY nice though.

My vintage "Sunshin" BIA hubs aren't spinning so nicely :(. They were just repacked though.

Still, I should've gone with new Sansins.

I can't really contribute much of value to this thread, having no experience with either hub, but let me just say:

GODDAMN THOSE SANSIN HUBS ARE ****ING ATTRACTIVE.
