Can anyone recommend riding glasses for a big gord head? I've looked at plenty but they are too small for my face. Lp

Try safety glasses. They look good and wrap around for excellent protection. Get the ones intended for outdoor use with UV coating. They come in clear, blue, yellow and a few other colors. I get mine at Lowe's for 10 bucks. I like yellow for daytime and clear for night.

i have a pair of B&L large frame shooting glasses with 62 mm lens.
Offer good protection, no distortion because the lens is glass.
They have protected my eyes for 25 years, hope for another 25.
Recall they were expensive at the time, probably still are- but a great value over time.

Sometimes I go top-of-the-line, other times, I don't. Sunglasses are a place where I go cheap; like Wally World cheap. I know, I know, and I hate buying "made in China" stuff, too. But try and find nearly any brand of sunglasses, premium name brand or otherwise, that aren't made in China. Perhaps Rudys, but perhaps not.

I've mentioned this before on this forum about a study that was done on UV protection, and determined that many of the cheap glasses provided even better UV protection than the really, really expensive ones. They mentioned that if the glasses have a metallic coating, they will provide excellent UV protection. So I usually spend about $10-12 for sunglasses, and I've found some pretty good-looking ones with quality frames in this price range. Besides, I am known to lose or damage them, so no big loss if that happens. One thing I always look for is whether or not my take-a-look mirror will fit well.

Bottom line, go to a large department store. They usually have a huge selection. When you find what you want, make sure they have a metalic coating. That's pretty easy, just turn them at an angle and you can see it.

My Bolle glasses seem to be made for a large head. They're a bit big on me, even.

Another suggestion is if you find a pair of cheaper glasses that you like make sure & buy two or three pair, because when you break or loose them & you try & find another pair they don't have them anymore or they are out of stock.

My current favorites are the safety-sunglasses I bought at Home Depot, $7, I think. They work much better for me than the expensive sunglasses.

Someone else offered up the link a couple of months ago. I now have a clear and tinted pair of cheap, bifocal safety sunglasses. I can see the cyclometer numbers again! Had been wearing plain safety glasses.

I bought some online and regretted it. They didn't fit right. Now I just go to someplace local and look for something cheap. I look for glasses that fit close to my eyes and high on my nose so that when I'm bent over in the drops on my road bike and look forward, I don't have to look through the top of the frame. I've had to look a bit to find sunglasses that fit me and fit this criteria, but it isn't all that hard. I usually don't spend more than $20.

I ordered two pair of the Nemesis style safety glasses from US safety Glasses.com. They arrived this morning and they are a great deal. You can find them in the "large sized" section on the web site. They came with a storage bag and a neck lanyard. Highly recommend this product. Lp

Try the safety glasses found at Wally Mart. Cheap and effective. Also check out the glasses to be found in the Fishing department.
