I saw this earlier today. I'd heard about a swim course that the lifeguards put out at that beach and was thinking about checking it out. Maybe not in the Spring when great whites are breeding in these waters.

Obviously tragic but the guy died doing something he loved. It could have been worse.

I hope they are not planning to kill the shark. I feel for the familes and friends but the shark does live there.

The triathlon that this guy was training is one that I am signed up for already. Its going to be my first triathlon. Its pretty funny but all of my friends thought I was crazy before but now they really think I have lost it. Its sad that this has happened but something that everybody needs to accept when they enter the water is that in the ocean there are animals at the top of the food chain other then humans.

I heard about this , i live in SD but i didnt know it was a triathlon person. makes me a bit weary to get in the water now. my condolences go to him and his family.
