First time post in this forum. You may see a double post in Road Biking- Regardless

Tomorrow Morning I am leaving for a 7 day road trip from Houston. My itinerary and direction is simply to head west. I think I am going to make it to New Mexico, Arizona, possibly California-

Any Ideas? Places of interest? Great Rides? Great Hikes? Good eats?

I literally have no planning, I do not know where I am staying tomorrow night. I am simply getting on I-10 West and then I will figure this all out. So any advice or ideas would be greatly appreciated.

I will post some pictures and give a daily update (if possible) of my progress and adventure.

One Final Note- I am only bringing a road bike--Renting is a possibility-

Hang out in Tucson and come ride with us next Sat. Morning.

On the way, Carlsbad Caverns, Guadaloupe Mountains give some amazing views.
El Paso, Las Cruces are interesting. White Sands Missle Range just seems to go on forever.

I like the riding around Oro Valley in Tucson, nice views, not too hilly.

I would go for San Diego instead of LA for some of the best mexican food ever. Good luck!
