I asked this question over a year ago, but a lot has happened since then, to force me to ask this question again. What bike would George W ride?

My guess would be a MTB with suspension - he is going through a rough patch now isn't he? :D

Come on , amuse me with your ideas

My guess is that dubbya would ride a bike that somehow uses petrolium fuel.

Even then, somebody else would have their hands on the steerage. George is along for the ride.

Doesn't this belong in the politics section? It could get pretty ugly.

No it does not belong in the politics section. This is pure foo, - tongue in the cheek, utter nonsense really. I asked you to amuse me with your suggestions

:D :D :D

For that matter, what would the Pope ride, or Tony Blair (probably something with trainer wheels - he needs al the help he can get right now :D )

Mom and Dad have GT electric bikes they ride around K-port (or at least they used to)

GWB would not have a bike, he would ride a tricycle. Not a cool recumbent trike like a Greenspeed, no he would be riding one of the adult trikes with the big basket behind the seat. If he did ride a bicycle it would have training wheels mounted on it and he would ride on the sidewalk.

I think it would be a trike too. Only it would hold three people. One guy steering, one pedaling and dubbya just riding along. Then they could pedal their hind ends everywhere. ;)
Now I'm sure that has nothing to do with what he'd really ride. That DOES belong in the political section.

Actually, he should have a Trek 5200... the same bike Lance won on one of his Tour de France wins he presented to Bush when he got back. If anything, he'd be crazy not to take that bike out for a spin...

Dubbya was spotted at the Arlington, MA Blind Stokers Rally the other day riding stoker with Dick Cheney captaining a Burley Tandem wearing Team Haliburton kit.

I've never heard of the guy riding it. I saw the picture of Armstrong presenting Dubbyah the bike, then Dubbyah looking down at it. He looked rather perplexed (more than normal) and was just staring at the bike with his hand on the handlebar, like "whatta I do with this now?".

He should have given it to me!

Didn't George W try and ride one of those scooter things you stand up in? I saw it on David Letterman a few weeks ago. If I remember he fell off or something :)

I can't remember the name of those things. I saw that they were all recalled cause off a battery problem causing people to fall off. Anyway they were touted as being the coming thing in getting people around. They don't move to fast and I'd hate to have to dodge the things. Probably though be limited to sidewalks. Course if they weren't, couldn't you just imagine some little ol lady blocking traffic rubber necking down the road. Give me a bike anyday.

I urge you to pass these measures, for the good of both our environment and our economy. (Applause.) Even more, I ask you to take a crucial step and protect our environment in ways that generations before us could not have imagined.

In this century, the greatest environmental progress will come about not through endless lawsuits or command-and-control regulations, but through technology and innovation. Tonight I'm proposing $1.2 billion in research funding so that America can lead the world in developing clean, hydrogen-powered automobiles. (Applause.)

This is the device that Rush Limbaugh touted for weeks as the next great step forward in transportation. I think he was pretty close to the height of his painkiller consumption when he was promoting this. George was probably listening to the show for political advise and thought this might be a way to connect with them damn treehuggers.

Yeah, heard about Lance giving him a bike, but I don't think he'll be riding it that often. He's a runner, and most probably, he takes Bus 11.

Guess you guys don't know what Bus 11 means? Reply with ??? and I might give you the answer.

The pope would ride a Colnago with the number 1 campy
50th anniversary gruppo which Tulio presented to him.

Dubya would ride a Klein mountain bike, full suspension.
Cheney would ride a 1958 Columbia balloon tire (maybe
a Schwinn Phantom?).
Laura B. (Mrs Dubya) would ride a 1983 Nishiki sport mixte frame.

Would GW ride a fixed gear? I don't think so.

Dubya would ride a freestyle with axle pegs so the Secret Service has something to stand on.

Actually, Dubya is in excellent shape with a resting heart rate in the upper 30's so he'd probably be on that bike that's ahead of me.

Did he take it along with him to Baghdad..I always had luck meeting local people when out on the bike.... A ride is a perfect way to work off the turkey...

Actually bus 11 simply means using your legs to walk, that's what we always refer to over here.

Gordon P your post with the tricycle is rather curious by George. I think Dubya would ride a normal bike ,whichever he wanted to buy. Or maybe he would borrow one from the secret service. James

What kind of bicycle would Al Gore ride. If it was a Huffy would he lie about it? Wait a minute maybe he would claim to have invented it!He did claim that he and tipper were the inspiration for love story and he claimed to have invented the internet. James

Although this is slightly off topic but Eric Segal (Author Love Story) has confirmed that they were part of the inspiration behind the characters. And Al never said he invented the internet he said he was one of the key people in pushing for the internet also true. You may not like Al but he (like GWB) has more class than to ride a Huffy.

I don't think so he pushed awfully hard to disqualify the votes of serviceman when Florida was being decided . Al Gore has no class. Servicemen risk their lives for this country and deserve to have their votes counted. And you are not. James

I don't know where you get your information, but Eric Segal said that Al and Tipper were in no way inspriation for Love Story. Further, Gore did, in fact, say he "invented" the internet. When called on it, he "clarified," saying he was one of the politicians instrumental in pushing it through.

I think Al would probably ride an Iron Horse.

The whole Florida thing was a huge JOKE from both sides my recollection was that GWB was the one trying to get the vote finalized before all absentee ballots were in. And since you do not know me or even begin to know me how do you know I do not or have not risked my life in for this country.

The whole deal with the proposed recount in Florida was the butterfly ballot was claimed to be confusing. The problem with that was the Democrats approved it before the election. Changing the rules in the middle of the game because the outcome does not look promising simply is not honest. It became a problem once it was determined that Gore was losing then a survey firm was engaged to make it a big deal. Illinois used the same ballot and there was never a question of a recount. In my opinion the recount was simply an attempt to steal the election as was the disqualification of servicemembers absentee ballots .Al Gore did not care how the constitution was trampled upon so long as he won Florida.

It is a fact that Tipper was the inspiration behind nice songs by the Day Glow Abortions and Furnaceface.

Such charming names for Bands . I prefer the peanut butter conspiracy is spreading or The electric prunes . I saw both on LP jackets, in a thrift shop years ago.
