I received paper spam in my mailbox from an auto dealership telling me I had won one of 5 prizes and all I needed to do to collect one of them was to show up at the dealership. I had to ride by the dealership anyway so I stuffed the spam in a pannier. I ride up on my bike and get the spam out and a sales lady checks the number and tells me I won a $5 Wal-mart gift card. Now I get the third degree from her wanting to know what type of vehicle I'm interested in. About this time a Pizza delivery guy starts unloading Pizzas and cold soft drinks at the other of the table. I ask if I can have some Pizza and a diet soda. She said that's what that stuff is for so I make a pig of myself because it's free. She waits on someone else while I am consuming as much of the Pizza and soft drink as is possible, because it's free. After about 20 minutes I've eaten so much I'm beginning to wonder if I've made myself sick. The sales lady comes back noting I've devoured as much of the Pizza as I could and asks about what type of vehicle I'm interested in and if I'm ready to take a test drive. I tell her I'm just here for the $5 gift card, Pizza, and soft drink and I've eaten so much Pizza I don't think I could get behind the steering wheel anyway. I also said that with gasoline being so high with no end in sight I just thought that purchasing a new vehicle would not make a whole lot of since as I could get around on my bike just fine. She looked at me as if I had just taken her first born child! She started to say something else so before she could say anything I said that if your going to stuff my mailbox with spam then I will continue to take advantage of it. She then just smiled and told me to have a nice day and to come back if I needed to purchase a car or truck. I got on my bike and noted I had eaten too much! I was miserable as I continued on to take care of a couple of bills I can't pay online and grab a few items from Wal-mart with that free $5 gift card. At least I wont need to worry about food for a couple of days! Just showing up at the auto dealership on a bicycle was a hoot as well!
