Well, at least tied with mine. He's coming down tomorrow to help move all my ****. He says he had better get beer and hookers out of this, and not necessarily in that order. I love my dad.

You totally need to have two shirtless guys with Eddie Mercury moustaches, in leather biker hats and arseless chaps holding beer for him when he arrives.

Sleep overs with 6 year olds....you sir are a braver man than I...we just outlawed sleep overs:)

It will be a lot different when he is 16.
Lock the liquor cabinet.
Send your daughter (if you have one) away for the night.
Hide the computer.
Listen for the door opening and closing
etc, etc.....

I am speaking from experience.
My son had some friends over one night. Middle of the night I went downstairs for a drink and noticed some snow covered girls boots at the door. You guessed it. My son, 2 friends and 3 girls in the rec room having some "recreation". The boys were ticked when I sent the girls home.
Can't say I blame the boys...the girls were "hot".

As long as it's in exchange for a few evenings of sleepovers at other kids' houses...sounds like a fair trade.

All the parents involved might qualify for a group therapy rate.

My only question is "Why did it take you so long to realize this?"

During movie time tonight I had to compliment the 6 year old on what would have been a room clearing blast if it was not just he and I in the room. After giggling and smiling, he got up, went and got the air deodorizer spray and brought it to me.:eek::D

I have a boy and a girl. I'm going with CCTV survailence throughout the house. (Boy is 12, the installers are already booked.)

Nothing really works - you will survive, your parents did. Of course, if your parents did survive, they are snickering at your plight right now...

Well, considering that the only sleepover I've ever had as a child didn't go over well at all, my parent's banned them completely.

They were never big in our house anyway. I guess it's just a cultural thing.
