I just wanted to extend a hardy THANK YOU to the members of FOMBA, the Friends Of Messabesic Bike Association. They run a trail network in New Hampshire that's well known around here as being one of the best places in the area, perhaps the state, maybe the world, for mountain biking. (Okay, maybe not the world). I'm sure it takes a lot of work to maintain these trails, and I wanted to thank all those involved.
Yesterday I headed out to the trails, even though their website said they were closed, thinking I may get lucky and find them open (the website is often out of date). As I arrived the FOMBA guys were just packing up after doing their spring cleanup (had I been an hour or two earlier I would gladly have lent a hand) and the trails were officially open. Man, what a great place to ride and I feel so lucky to have it in my back yard (just a 15 minute drive away).
So thanks FOMBA, for all the hard work.
