Hey, I'm taking the family to Redmond for the Tour de Cure on the 17th and we're planning to make a weekend out of it. Does anyone know anything about transit etc.? My honey thinks it would be fun to take the bus system to visit some attractions around the Seattle area, The Zoo etc. Any ideas?

Since you'll have your bikes, you can cycle to the Park n Ride on 83rd (85th? I can't remember) next to the skatepark, and load your bikes on the front of the bus to get across to Seattle.
The standard fare would be
- Space Needle
- Pike Place Market
- Experience Music Project & Sci Fi Museum

You can visit Bruce and Brandon Lee's burial site at Lakeview Cemetery
The Hendrix Memorial is at Greenwood Memorial Park (another bus ride to Renton, WA)
Redhook Brewery offers $1 tours of the brewery (4 tastings of their beer, and you keep the glass; Woodinville, just 200yds off the Sammamish River bike trail.
