I was going to buy my wife a Trek 4300, but then I saw the Kona Blast which although a little more expensive is much better specced. What do you think about this bike overall?

I like Kona's much better than Treks. Mostly because when you buy a Kona, you become part of the "Clan". Go to their website and read what I mean.

The Blast is a sweet bike. I'm sure it is worth the extra $ over the poorly speced Trek. I'm currious what the new cheap Marzocchi MZ forks are like, as speced on the Kona. Elastomer sprung junk, or typical Marz quality?
