Seriously, the red star is the boundary between Freds and the real deal........ Actually, it just allows you to post on the Sales Forum and give you a little tingly sensation knowing that you contributed to BF...... (Com'on Brian; where's my red star!!!!) ;-)

Well, since you asked.

Primarily the red star announces to the world "Hey, I'm not a freeloader". Back in the day, before advertising, a voluntary $25 contribution helped keep the forum running. Running a forum ain't free.

Now days, in addition to the "non-freeloader" announcement, your $25 contribution allows you exemption from seeing those ghastly advertisements, allows you to post your own ads, and may even cut you a little slack if you happen to forget your manners one day.

Send a screenshot of your paypal receipt to donnamb and brian. One of them will be able to give you your red star very soon after receiving it. For some reason the system is messed up and they aren't always notified. I sent donnamb a pm but she will most likely need to see a screen shot of the receipt.

Please do send me a copy-paste of your receipt. Brian seems to be off right now but I am on. :)
