I'm new to biking. So new I haven't started yet. Where should I start. I'm athlwetic, but I want to begin biking for exercise and fun. I need a bike. Steer me in the right direction!

Go to the bike shop and see what they have and say,then come back and we'll see if they are bs ing you.

What kind of riding do you plan to do? What are your goals? How aggressively do you pursue a new sport? Do you have any chronic physical or health problems? What do your friends ride? What price range are you considering? When you have answers to those questions, you'll have a good start.

any mechanically sound bike that is fit for you will do. yes, people are anal about bike brands, etc. but for starters your fit should be your primary goal.
the initial feeling is to get as much bike as you can comfortably afford. biking can be as inexpensive or expensive as you make it.
