General Cycling Discussion - Has anyone seen this in the flesh?

I know this is a folding bike, but I just came across it.
It just seems...wrong somehow.

I notice that no where on the website do they show people actually riding this... this... thing.

It needs a bigger chainring.

This was another of Sinclair's inventions that crashed out. I'm old enough to remember his plastic monstrosity.

It does state that it has pneumatic tires. Very specialized use, seems to be for people who are taking transit and the like for the majority of their trip, and only want to add a bit of speed and distance to long walking legs.

I thought there was another version that had larger wheels, about 6" diameter or so. If it had a reasonably-long gearing I could see where it might be useful. As long as you didn't weigh over,, oh,, say,,, 80 or 90 lbs, and didn't ride it very hard.

I'd expect if you caught any sort of pavement crack with those rollerskate wheels, you'd do a face-plant pretty easily....

i've seen clown bikes before but nothing like that. the center of gravity looks too high.

get a skateboard FFS if you want to speed up your commute between transit.

It's never a good sign when the ad copy starts off with how much better this is than the last one... doesn't inspire confidence! And yes, that is just silly looking.

Doesn't look too bad right off--although the seat adjustment moves the "wrong" way (if you raise the seat for a taller rider, the seat moves closer to the cranks).

Not quite like granny's folding walker in the above link, but looks to be way better.
